Erebor Secret Door from The Hobbit, Lord of the Ring linocut print

75,00 - 190,00

Description:

"Upon the slopes of the Lonely Mountain lies the hidden entrance to Erebor, known only to the heirs of Durin and sealed for long ages.

Near it rests the statue of King Thrór, whose form serves as a path and stair to the small ledge before the secret door. Above, the vigilant thrush awaits, the faithful herald destined to reveal the right moment.

The key to the secret door shines in the hand, a symbol of hope to enter once more into the halls of the Dwarves.

Yet within lurks dread: the mighty Smaug the Golden, coiled in wrath amidst the endless treasure, guardian of the plundered hoard.

Thus the print gathers together the tokens of fate: the hidden way, the statue of the king, the key of entry, and the dragon who keeps his vigil of fire.

ABOUT PRINTS

All my LOTR-themed works depict a gateway to immerse oneself in the magical world created by Tolkien.

Limited edition of 100 prints, numbered and signed by the artist Andrea.

This is a limited artisan edition.
This is not a print made by a printer, but a handmade work, as ancient traditions have taught us.
The matrix is engraved by hand, and the print is made using a roller press, also by hand.
Nothing technological, just paper, ink and a lot of passion, a process that takes days, from engraving to printing, to achieve this result.
The prints all differ in certain details, including colour intensity and minor imperfections, all of which are due to the craftsmanship involved in their production.
The matrix does not produce infinite copies, so all prints are, by their very nature, limited editions.
These prints are collector's items for true admirers of Tolkien's works.
The visual pleasure and display on the wall have a completely different effect compared to printed posters.
